Digital Realty COO Erich Sanchack leaving company

Digital Realty chief operating officer Erich Sanchack is to exit the company next month.

According to a filing with the SEC and first reported by DCK, Sanchack is being removed by the company as part of a wider leadership change.

“In connection with a broader organizational realignment of the company’s leadership team, on January 5, 2023, the company notified Erich Sanchack, Chief Operating Officer of the company, of the termination of his employment, effective February 3, 2023,” the company said in a January 5 filing.

Despite being set to remain with the company for another two weeks, Sanchack’s page on the leadership part of Digital Realty website has been taken down.

Sanchack joined Digital Realty in 2018 following stints at CenturyLink and Lockheed Martin.

The news comes just a month after Digital Realty announced CEO Bill Stein was leaving the company, to be replaced by CFO Andy Power. Matt Mercier was then promoted to CFO to take Power’s vacated position.

In recent weeks the company also appointed Serene Nah as head of Asia Pacific, and saw Apostolos Kakkos – CEO of Digital Realty’s Greek unit Lamda Hellix – step down.
