Deutsche Telekom invests $25m in cloud provider Teridion

Deutsche Telekom has invested $25 million in cloud firm Teridion Technologies.

The German telco first began working with the Israeli networking software company earlier this year, and becomes the latest investor in Teridion, joining existing investors such as Jerusalem Venture Partners, Singtel’s innov8, and Magma Venture Partners.

Found in 2013, Teridion is an Israeli software company based in Raanana that specializes in providing multi-cloud wide area network (WAN) connectivity solutions.

Since working together earlier this year, Deutsche Telekom has implemented Teridion’s products into its business-focused offering.

As part of this investment, Deutsche Telekom’s senior vice president of group strategy and transformation, Matthias Budde is joining the board of directors of Teridion.

“Our investment in Teridion is an important step from two perspectives: investing in this start-up is economically attractive. We are convinced that Teridion will grow being a leader in the cloud-based connectivity business,” said Deutsche Telekom board member for Germany and managing director Telkom Deutschland Srini Gopalan.

Teridion’s solutions are currently deployed on 25 different cloud providers, while its network is spread across 500 points of presence worldwide. DatacenterDynamics
