Comcast Strengthens Indoor Wi-Fi With Acquisition Of Epproach Communications

Comcast said it bought Epproach Communications, a provider of multifamily technology based in Wilmington, North Carolina, in June. The company provides managed Wi-Fi and internet services and has strengthened the Select Wi-Fi offering of Comcast’s Xfinity Communities, which serves multifamily properties and residents.

The improved Select WiFi system places access points throughout a property, eliminating the need for residents to have any telecom equipment (CPE) in their units. Residents can now get access to the network immediately when they move in.―Telecompaper
