Cognizant Appoints Daniel Cohen As Its New BFSI Head

IT services major Cognizant appointed Daniel Cohen as their new senior vice president of banking and financial services for North America which contributes 76% to the company’s total revenue.

In an internal announcement on Thursday morning, DK Sinha, head of North America, Cognizant, said, “Banking and financial services continues to play a critical role in our growth strategy, and our leadership team must position Cognizant to win in the digital era.”

Cohen has joined Cognizant with more than 35 years of experience in some of the world’s largest banking and insurance clients. Most recently, he spent the past three years as senior vice president, Global Financial Services and Insurance with a global leader in digital transformation. He oversaw the global P&L for banking, finance and insurance. This included sales teams, client relationships, industry solutions, marketing and alliance management.

Prior to that, Cohen spent 30 years at IBM, including serving as vice president, Global Financial Services sector, growth markets unit and as managing director across several of IBM’s largest integrated accounts.―Livemint
