Cisco, peers targeted in ITC networking patent complaint
Cisco Systems is among a number of networking companies named in an International Trade Commission complaint that is seeking to block imports of gear allegedly using patented inventions without permission.
Proven Networks has filed the complaint, which urges the ITC to conduct an investigation under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.
It’s looking to block imports of gear that it says are violating its patent rights.
And it’s naming a number of respondents, including Cisco, Arista Networks, Aruba Networks, Dell Technologies, F5 Networks, Juniper Networks, and Palo Alto Networks.
The complaint concerns two patents that cover management of data flow, and Proven licenses those patents to Extreme Networks. SeekingAlpha
