CIS Partnering With Infosys To Reshape The Digital Workforce

In a new collaboration, Computing and Information Science (CIS) faculty will educate at least 3,000 employees of the international consulting company Infosys in technologies such as blockchain, machine learning and human-computer interaction.

The training will be conducted through eCornell’s virtual learning platform, and will include courses teaching data analytics, engineering, and design, system and critical thinking.

“It is exciting to work together with Infosys to address cutting-edge tech research and also innovate in how we educate the next generation to work with these technologies,” said CIS Dean Greg Morrisett.

In addition, Infosys and Cornell will actively research technologies creating a demand for workers, with an emphasis on blockchain, software-defined networks and cloud computing.

As a leader in digital transformation, Infosys needs to be at the forefront of the technologies and talent driving disruption in the enterprise. Cornell University is synonymous with technology and talent – this is a natural synergy between our organizations to improve workforce education,” said Tan Moorthy, executive vice president and global head of education training and assessments for Infosys.

Infosys focuses on next-generation digital services and consulting and works with clients in 45 countries.

“We are honored that Infosys has chosen our innovative online learning solutions to help prepare their teams to meet the urgent demands of digital transformation and ensure their workforce is developing the skills of the future,” said Paul Krause ’91, associate vice provost for online learning and CEO of eCornell. – Cornell Chronicle
