CG Net expands service outside Kathmandu

CG Net has expanded its service outside Kathmandu for the first time. Confined within the valley since its blockbuster internet launch, the CG subsidiary has now begun providing service outside the capital city. The company has inaugurated it’s ‘beyond the capital’ expansion in 4 different cities.

With this, customers outside the valley will have an opportunity to bring CG connection home. The people across the country, especially in major cities have long waited for CG Net’s budget-friendly high-speed plans’ arrival. Now, it has started off in 4 cities. These cities are Hetauda, Nawalpur, Butwal, and Bhairawaha and more expansions will follow soon.

In early June 2021, CG Net launched its 120 Mbps residential package for just Rs.999 with the slogan “Speed that Matter”. It was budget-friendly and very high speed 8 months ago. The package immediately created a rage in the ISP market in Nepal and forced leading ISPs to respond. Its impact was so enthralling that it triggered the speed war that continues to shock and awe.

And while major ISPs went on to offer internet plans with inflated speeds, the speed war instigator focused on expansion in Kathmandu only. The company though had been setting up infrastructures for expansion. This is the first time, it has stepped beyond the valley.

CG Net expanding services and coverage
CG Net initially launched a 120 Mbps offer only but has diversified with another 50 Mbps plan for moderate users. This equally remarkable offer costs only Rs.649. Earlier, the ISP also began a 15-day free trial service with a strategy to pull in more customers. Subscribers under the free trial offer, can enjoy CG Net free for 15 days and decide on the installation.

CG Net has also partnered with Airtel to bring in its IPTV service. The collaboration will bring Airtel IQ Video which will bring both video OTT and IPTV for Nepali subscribers. The company is in the plan to launch the service soon.

Finally, CG Net has started its service outside of Kathmandu and we could see the ambitious ISP going ruthless with its coverage. Nepali Telecom
