BT Picks Cisco NCS 5500 Series For Peering Network

BT Group has chosen Cisco to provide the infrastructure to support its internet peering network, allowing BT to connect its network with other ISPs and carrier networks.

BT will use the Cisco Network Convergence System (NCS) 5500 series in its network, which allows for density of routed 100 GE ports for internet peering. It is designed to efficiently scale between data centres and large enterprise, web and service provider WAN and aggregation networks with power savings and telemetry, Cisco said.―Telecompaper
