BSNL Revises a Slew of Broadband Plans to Offer Up to 1.1TB FUP

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is gearing up for the arrival of Jio GigaFiber high-speed broadband service from Reliance Jio. After revising the Rs 699 broadband plan, the state-run PSU has made changes to four broadband plans of Rs 875, Rs 1,025, Rs 1,091 and Rs 1,199. The Rs 1,199 broadband plan now comes with 1.1TB of FUP, better than any other plan in the similar price range. All these broadband now comes with higher FUP along with faster download & upload speeds than earlier. At the moment, BSNL has made the changes to these plans in Chennai circles, but all these plans are available on a pan-India basis, so we’re expecting BSNL to make changes in other circles too.

BSNL Rs 875 Broadband Plan Now Offers 800GB FUP per Month

The first plan in the list is the BBG Combo ULD 875, which earlier offered speeds of 10 Mbps, but now, BSNL is offering 20 Mbps speeds and 800GB of FUP on a monthly basis. After a user completes the FUP, BSNL will offer 2 Mbps after FUP speeds with no limit on downloads and uploads. Alongside the data benefit, BSNL also gives a user unlimited voice calls within India to any network and 2GB of Email space for the validity period.

BSNL is Offering 1.1TB of FUP With the Rs 1,199 Broadband Plan

One of the popular plans in BSNL’s portfolio is the BBG Combo ULD 1199, which now offers 20 Mbps speeds and 1.1 TB or 1100GB of FUP per month. Users can enjoy after FUP speeds of 2 Mbps, which will be useful to browse social media and stream 720p videos on YouTube. Additionally, users can make unlimited voice calls to any network within India.

Rs 1,025 and Rs 1,099 Plans Received Revision Too

The other two plans which now received a revision are BBG Combo ULD 1025 and BBG Combo ULD 1091. Both the plans now offer up to 20 Mbps of download speeds, but the FUP limit differs. While the Rs 1,025 plans cap your speeds to 2 Mbps after 900GB, the Rs 1,099 plan does the same at 1000GB. Both the plans again comes with unlimited voice calling benefit to any network within India.

BSNL Also Offering Rs 1,199 Family Plan

You might be now wondering whether the above-mentioned Rs 1,199 is the same Family Plan, which the company revised recently. The answer is No. BSNL has a wired broadband plan of Rs 1,199 which is mentioned above, and the telco is also offering a Rs 1,199 Family plan which provides basic wired broadband benefits, but on the brighter side, it also comes with free BSNL 3G SIM card service.

The BSNL BBG Combo ULD 1199 Family plan offers a broadband connection with 10 Mbps speeds up to 30GB and three bundled mobile SIM connections with 1GB daily data & unlimited voice calling service. This plan also offers unlimited voice calls to any network in India, like the other broadband plans mentioned above.

BSNL Gears Up for an Intense Battle With Jio GigaFiber

With this new revision, BSNL is now gearing up for an intense battle with Reliance Jio GigaFiber. Jio, on the other hand, is expected to start its operations very soon under the JioGigaFiber Preview Offer, providing customers with free wired broadband service for three months. Jio is expected to launch its broadband plans at a later date, and they’re expected to start at Rs 500. – Telecom Talk
