Brands selling smartphones from their official sites at huge discounts

If you are thinking of buying a new smartphone in the new year, then there is good news for you, because in the new year you will be able to buy a smartphone cheaply. Actually last year a huge stock of smartphones has been saved. In such a situation, users can expect big discounts in the new year. If market experts are to be believed, then in the last quarter of the year 2022, the huge inventory of the smartphone brand is left. According to the report, the last quarter of the year has been the worst quarter for the smartphone industry. In such a situation, big discounts can be expected especially for entry-level and budget smartphones.

Smartphone not sold
In the year 2022, the demand for smartphones remained low during the festive season of October to December. In such a situation, top brand smartphones are selling smartphones from their official sites at huge discounts.

If reports are to be believed, we saw a sharp month-on-month decline in smartphone shipments in November due to low demand and high inventory. Experts believe that the year 2022 could be the worst quarter for smartphone brands. Inventory from October is still stuck in the pipeline. In such a situation, channel partners, offline and online, will stop taking more stock to clear the existing inventory. In such a situation, huge discounts will be offered on the smartphone.

Currently, top smartphone brands including Xiaomi, Samsung, and Realme are mainly offering discounts on their official websites.

Counterpoint Research has cut its forecast for smartphone shipments to 163 million, down from 175 million earlier. The same IDC India had earlier this year estimated around 160 million smartphone unit shipments, which could be 150 million units.

According to the Counterpoint report, the market may return to brightness in the second half of 2023. After an annual decline of 5 percent in the year 2022, the market can ship 175 million units in 2023. According to the Counterpoint report, in the year 2023, the demand for 5G smartphones will be more than 4G smartphones. Hindustan News Hub
