BlackBerry Evolve With Dual Rear Cameras, 4000mAh Battery Goes on Sale In India For The First Time

The phone is available at Rs 24,990 and can be purchased via Amazon website during the ongoing Amazon Great Indian Festival sale. This is the first time that the phone has gone on sale in India.

Amazon is also giving some offers along with the BlackBerry Evolve as part of its ongoing sale. There is a 5 per cent instant cashback for ICICI bank credit card users. However, this offer is only if the buyer opts for no cost EMI plan. There is also no cost EMI option to purchase the phone. Additionally, there is a Vodafone and Idea offer under which buyer will get 360GB data. Further, there is 10 per cent cashback up to Rs 1000 as Amazon Pay balance if the payment is done via any pre-paid mode.

BlackBerry Evolve specs

The BlackBerry Evolve sports a 5.99-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels. The phone is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core processor and comes with 4GB of RAM. It houses 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded to up to 256GB via microSD card. On the optics-front, the BlackBerry Evolve packs dual camera set-up of 13MP (f/2.0) + 13MP (f/2.0) on the rear and a 16MP front camera. The BlackBerry Evolve is supported by a 4000mAh with fast charge support. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo software.

The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and USB Type-C. Sensors on-board include fingerprint sensor, face unlock, Compass, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

The Evolve and Evolve X are the first BlackBerry phones to come with 18:9 bezel-less displays, a large 4000mAh battery and a 16MP front camera.

Meanwhile the Evolve X is a little pricier version launched at Rs 34,990. The launch offer said that both the Evolve and Evolve X would come bundled with Reliance Jio cashback offer of Rs 3,950. The Evolve X was said to go on sale in August but it seems that the sale has been postponed. It may start soon. – India Today
