Big Fall In Number Of Nokia Phones Being Shipped
Shipments of Nokia-branded phones to European markets fell significantly in the first part of the year, according to the latest figures published by research company IDC in London.
HMD Global, the Espoo-based company with a license to sell Nokia-branded smartphones, shipped 2.2 million units to European markets from January to March 2019.
That’s down more than a million units – or 33% – from the same months in the previous year when HMD Global shipped 3.3 million smart phones.
Even with these lower numbers, HMD keeps its place as the 5th biggest smartphone company in Western, Central and Eastern Europe according to the figures – behind Samsung, Huawei, Apple and Xiaomi.―News Now
