Australia Telecom Complaints Increase In Q1

Complaints to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO), as a proportion of services in operation (SIO) increased to 7.5 complaints per 10,000 for the period between January and March 2019 from 6 complaints per 10,000 for the period between October to December 2018.

It is the lowest ratio since January – March 2016, according to a TIO report. Telstra saw 8.2 complaints per 10,000 SIO, while Vodafone posted 3.1 complaints per 10,000 SIO. Optus received 9 complaints per 10,000 SIO in the January to March period, while Amaysim saw 0.5 complaints per 10,000 SIO, and Pivotel also registered 0.5 complaints per 10,000 SIO.―Telecompaper
