Asus’s First Gaming Phone Set To Launch On November 29

A sus’s first gaming phone under the company’s ROG gaming lineup now has a release date in India. It will be unveiled on November 29 in the country. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has already sent media invites for the same. The smartphone was first showcased at the Computex Being touted as the ultimate ‘Game Changer’, the Asus Republic of Gamers (RoG) phone is said to be one of the first smartphone to offer a display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and 1ms response. It offers a 6-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. The handset is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with Adreno 630 GPU.

Asus RoG Phone packs 8GB RAM coupled with 512GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android Oreo 8.1 operating system. As far as the camera is concerned, the handset offers dual-lens rear camera setup of a primary 12- megapixel sensor and a secondary 8-megapixel sensor. There is also an 8- megapixel front camera for selfies.

It houses a 4000mAh battery with ‘Hypercharge’ technology. The company claims that the device can charge up to 60% battery in 33 minutes. Interestingly, the smartphone comes with a dual USB charging port, one placed at the usual bottom and the other one on the side. This is because charging the phone while playing a game title in landscape mode can be irritating. Users can charge the device from the side while playing alongside.

Another interesting aspect of the ROG phone is that the device can be connected to large monitor through separate dock accessories. Security feature include a fingerprint sensor at the back. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack along with dual speakers. – gadgetsnow
