Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 Starts Receiving Android 9 Pie Beta Update In India

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is now receiving the Android 9 Pie beta update in India. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 was launched in December but ran Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Interested Zenfone Max Pro M2 owners who want to experience Google’s Android mobile OS early than others, can now enrol for the Asus Beta Power User Program. However, it is to be noted that the software is not fully optimized and may contain bugs.

For participation in the beta program, interested users of the phone have to share their phone’s IMEI information, serial number, and current firmware details. They can submit the application on the website and on getting selected, the company will contact via email with the details.

“ASUS unveils the Beta Power User Program giving access to early updates for feedback and testing so that the official Android Pie update is served as delicious and stable,” the company said in a statement.

To recap, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 5000mAh battery. It has the dual-camera setup with a combination of a primary sensor of 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, there is a 13-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 26mm focal length, LED flash and face unlock. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU.
