Asus Confirms Partnership With Tencent Games For ROG Phone 2

Asus has announced that its ROG division has partnered with Tencent Games for the creation of the next generation ROG Phone gaming smartphone. The new product called the ROH Phone II will further enhance its core functions and add more game optimization design for a better experience while playing e-sports mobile games.

The partnership with Tencent Games will be better optimize the ROG Phone to offer a smoother experience when playing high-end games like PUBG or Call of Duty Mobile, both of which are produced by the Chinese software company.

Apart from confirming the partnership with Tencent Games, Asus hasn’t revealed any further details about the upcoming gaming phone.

Earlier reports suggest that the Asus ROG Phone II, as it’s expected to be named, will be introduced later this year, sometime in the third quarter of 2019. Among the updates to be expected, the ROG Phone II could feature the latest Snapdragon 855 instead of the Snapdragon 845 with more RAM.

While still a gaming-centric phone, the next ROG Phone could feature a triple camera since last year’s model equipped a dual-camera setup.

In relevant news, Asus also updated its ROG notebooks line in April with the launch of the ROG Strix Scar III and Hero III gaming laptops which are powered by 9th-gen Intel Core CPUs and Nvidia RTX GPUs.―The Mobile Indian
