Apple has exported iPhones of over $5 billion from India in the first seven months to October of the current financial year, registering an annualized year growth of 177 percent. During the period, iPhones accounted for over 62 percent of the total smartphone exports. The rest came from Samsung and other brands.
Apple’s large-scale exports take advantage of the government’s production-linked incentive scheme, which has seen its best success in the smartphone sector. The iPhone maker has moved rapidly to diversify its supply chains away from China. Moneycontrol
