Apple To Launch iPhone 8s With Physical Home Button By 2020

In a move to fight the cut-throat competition from Xiaomi and Huawei, Apple is planning to launch a revamped model of iPhone 8 which was announced two years back. The company is also expected to introduce iPhone 11/ iPhone XI at the end this year. The upcoming flagship iPhone has been subjected to leak numerous times in the past however, this is the first time we are hearing about a possible iPhone 8s launch.

According to a report by Economic Daily News, the Cupertino giant is planning to launch a new revamped version of iPhone 8 by 2020. The phone is most likely to be released with moniker iPhone 8s.

As per the report, the model will be priced at $649 which is roughly Rs. 45,000 in Indian currency. The iPhone 8s will reportedly sport a 4.7-inch LCD display with identical dimensions like that of iPhone 8. It will be powered by Apple’s upcoming A13 processor coupled with 128GB of storage. Interestingly, the company is said to bring back the physical home button and thick display bezels with the new iPhone 8s. Further, it will have a single camera sensor as that of the upcoming iPhone 11.

The phone as per the report will be manufactured by Pegatron — the second largest iPhone supplier. As part of the initial production, the company is believed to release 20 million units of the iPhone 8s which will be released by March 2020. To remind our readers, the iPhone 8 was launched alongside iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus back in 2017. The device currently retails at Rs. 58,490 on online e-commerce websites in India.―Times Now
