Apple Opens Its Largest Store In India

Apple has rolled out its largest franchisee-run 8,000 sq ft India outlet in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Flagship Apple Premium Reseller (FAPR) store will occupy two-floor in Mumbai’s High Street Phoenix Mall and showcase Apple’s entire range available in India.

The store will also sell third-party products like Apple accessories and health and fitness products. Apple intends to roll out half a dozen larger outlets in the range of 5,000 sq ft in 2019, three each in Delhi, NCR and Mumbai.

The large FAPR outlets will be about three times larger than its current average size of 1,500 sq ft the iPhone maker currently operates. As Apple’s application for single brand retail is stuck for years and unable to open its company-owned stores in India. Meanwhile, Apple is resorting to open franchisee-owned outlets in India.―Projects Today
