Airtel Discontinues Its 3G Services In Madhya Pradesh And Chattisgarh

Bharti Airtel has today announced that it is shutting down the 3G network in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The company has revealed that it has also deployed L2100 technology on 4G in both circles.

With this, Airtel customers in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh will not be able to use 3G networks. However, the company has revealed that it will continue to provide 2G services in the region for customers who are using feature phones.

The company says that it has re-farmed its spectrum in the 2100 Mhz band to further strengthen its 4G network in both the circles. The company says that the re-farming will help to boost the 4G network and it will help in covering areas inside buildings, homes, offices, malls and outdoors, especially during intracity/ intercity transit for 4G smartphone customers.

Airtel has revealed that all customers on 3G have been duly notified and requested to upgrade their handsets/SIMs. 3G customers who are yet to upgrade their handsets/SIMs will continue to get access to high-quality voice services.
