Airtel 5G Plus spreads its wings

Bharti Airtel was the first company to launch 5G services in the country. Airtel 5G Plus is now available in 134 cities across 20 states in India.

Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as the company continues to construct its network and complete the rollout. Customers with 5G-enabled devices will enjoy a high-speed Airtel 5G Plus network at no extra cost until the rollout is more widespread.

The latest launch was in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula on February 23. Commenting on the launch, Pushpinder Singh Gujral, CEO Upper North, Bharti Airtel said, “I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Chandigarh, Mohali & Panchkula. Airtel customers in these three cities can now experience ultrafast network and enjoy speeds upto 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up all the cities which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more.”

Earlier this week, Airtel rolled out 5G services in Berhampore, Old Malda, Raiganj, Durgapur, Balurghat, Alipurduar, Dinhata, Asansol, Barrdhaman, Koch Bihar, Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Islampur and Kharagpur. The services were also launched in eight cities of Rajasthan and in two cities of Uttarakhand.

Bharti Airtel has also created 5G experience zones across all its retail stores in the country. Through these specially curated zones, Airtel is demonstrating the power of 5G to consumers by bringing to life its blazing data speeds and the emerging use cases like immersive virtual reality entertainment, cloud gaming and more. As an industry leader, Airtel has taken the lead to simplify the new technology for customers and get them to experience the real difference of 5G. All these 1000+ stores will have specially trained executives who will not only demonstrate use cases but will also answer all 5G related questions along with Airtel’s own offerings.
