Actility, Milesight partner to facilitate LoRaWAN deployments

Milesight, the fast-growing AIoT solution provider, and Actility, the world leader in IoT connectivity solutions, announce a strategic partnership in order to facilitate deployment of IoT use cases for smart buildings like indoor air quality (IAQ), smart offices, smart cities, smart agriculture, and many other verticals. The Partners agreed on technical and business cooperation as well as mutual promotion of the integrated Milesight LoRaWAN® Gateway and Actility’s ThingPark IoT platform.

As customers often struggle to select the right technology to deploy their IoT projects, Actility’s goal is to provide the most adapted options for operating their LoRaWAN networks, while reducing hassle and costs related to integration. Along with Milesight, we are enhancing our clients’ ability to provide consistent network coverage around the world.

IoT gateways use LoRaWAN® to connect smart devices to the cloud for data processing and management. Now part of Actility’s portfolio, Milesight LoRaWAN Gateways now allow seamless connection to Actility’s ThingPark® LoRaWAN® network servers. Data collected from LoRa® field sensors is backhauled over secured links into many of the major cloud IoT platforms connected to Actility’s ThingPark, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS IoT Core, PTC ThingWorx, and others.

The gateway integration with Actility LRR
Actility offers a program of integration of Gateways to make sure they are working seamlessly with ThingPark. It requires a few buttons clicks and demonstrates a strong validation process.

Milesight and Actility teams have been working closely together to modify antenna’s specifications in order to meet different market needs. Now Milesight can acquire complete programming info from Actility and integrate Actility’s LRR into their LoRaWAN gateway.

As a result, Milesight LoRaWAN gateways can smoothly connect to Actility ThingPark, manage all sensor data, monitor device status and modify relevant configurations, which marks the complete management of gateways and sensors. Eventually, via effective communication, swift mutual assistance and strong coding knowledge in antenna, gateway, and IoT platform, both teams bring the tasks to a full completion.
