Abhay Savargaonkar Joins Nokia India

Abhay Savargaonkar, ex-director – network & chief technology officer of Bharti Airtel has joined Nokia Software.

Abhay will be head of technology at Nokia Software and will be based in Gurgaon. He will focus on all software operations of Nokia with respect to cloud, NFV, SDN and others.

Abhay worked twice for Bharti Airtel. In his second stint, he worked for more than 8 years at Bharti Airtel in different capacities as director – network & chief technology officer, chief of operations – network services group, head 3G (strategy and rollout) and head 3G – network quality. He was instrumental in setting up pan-India 3G and 4G network for Bharti Airtel.

In his first stint, Abhay worked with Bharti Infotel as its chief technology officer. He also worked with Lucent Technologies as chief marketing officer.

Abhay did his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering.―Digi Analysys
