The capability to deliver diverse solutions on a single solution platform is the key attribute of a good OSS/BSS player. Xalted is an end-to-end telecom OSS/BSS solutions provider. Our capabilities are diverse in OSS/BSS, telecom revenue management and business intelligence delivered through a single architecture. On service of the provider contributing the most to the total revenue of a telco About 2 to 3 percent of all consumer expenditures are devoted to telephony services. This percentage has remained virtually unchanged over the past 15 years, despite major technology advances. It is important to note that categorizing service provider revenues by the type of service they provide is growing increasingly difficult, as collections and settlements are a major issue service providers face today. Xalted's VisionNG suite delivers a flexible prepaid billing platform integrated with voucher management and online credit control to enable service providers in quick prepaid billing rollouts. On 3G technology and prospects in a world of VAS Unlike Western and European markets, the subscriber base in India and Asia is growing at a tremendous pace. We expect existing and upcoming service providers in India to focus on adding volumes and attract new generation users by providing VAS. At the same time, we will see a steady decline in VAS costs due to larger volumes in this segment. Research indicates that the global VAS market is predicted to be huge, crossing the USD 30+ billion by 2010. On new technologies that would influence the market VAS and WiMAX will be the core OSS/BSS market focus coupled with a vertical growth in revenue management system and needs for assurance and detection. Xalted's VisionNG system is the only revenue management platform which generates analytical reports and tracks network anomalies at the transaction level in real-time, unlike other ETL-based systems. On qualities telcos look for in an efficient OSS/BSS player Telcos must assess OSS/BSS players for technology, application footprint and robustness, in the light of negotiating and processing billion-plus records per day. On best solution of Xalted The end-to-end OSS/BSS solution positioning and technology of Xalted's VisionNG framework gives us an edge over competitors. VisionNG is the only suite that addresses most application needs of global communication service providers, be it traditional OSS/BSS, revenue management or business intelligence. VisionNG is a packaged solution covering service providers' OSS/BSS requirements, end-to-end under one single umbrella. Owing to its single architecture, the system is highly integrated and has zero data integrity issues. The system can easily process large data volumes - it is tested to process a billion records per day for a few intercepts. On Xalted's solutions to the international roaming fraud GSMA NRTRDE guidelines stipulate conversion of the roaming data into a specific format and exchange between operators within a 4-hour window. Xalted's xNODE NRTRDE solution not only complies with GSMA guidelines but simultaneously fulfils the need of service providers for data exchange between roaming partners, online roaming fraud detection, alarms and checks, different types of field configurable reports and more. xNODE can also be used as a pure data clearing module eliminating the need for data clearing houses in the future. Cost-efficient, xNODE is based on the licensing model unlike the recurring cost model which is advocated by clearing houses. We plan to enrich xNODE in its release II by incorporating a roaming settlement module which encompasses the service provider's needs in a single box solution. On contracts received recently and expectations Xalted is currently working on the largest fraud management solution (FMS) project for BSNL. With a 10 million subscriber installation base, the FMS project is expected to upgrade to 49 million in next phase and grow to 142 million by 2010. Xalted is also venturing out majorly in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa during this financial year. At present our global sales pipeline is over USD 250 million and we are safely banking on 25 percent of business from the pipeline. Xalted has strong partnerships and alliances teams, working on a regional partner model that strengthens our value proposition in these markets. |
