EMC Corporation has announced that it has been positioned by Gartner Inc. in the "Leaders" quadrant of the "Magic Quadrant for Storage Resource Management and SAN Management Software, 2007" report. It addresses this market with its resource management portfolio, which includes EMC ControlCenter, Smarts, and VisualSRM software families.

EMC Resource Management products enable thousands of midsize and large enterprises to monitor, report, and provision their information infrastructures to improve service levels and optimize network and storage utilization. The ControlCenter family of storage resource management and device management software enables customers to simplify and automate common tasks such as monitoring, reporting, planning, and provisioning through a single, consistent information-centric approach.
